Biography
Assoc. Prof. Přemysl Mladěnka, Pharm.D., Ph.D. was graduated in 2003 at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Charles University, Czech Republic. He received his Ph.D. from Pharmacology and toxicology at the same institution in 2008. From 2014 he is the Associate Professor in Human and veterinary pharmacology. Currently he is also the ERASMUS+ coordinator of the Faculty of pharmacy, Charles University. Scientifically he is the head of the group of Cardiovascular and respiratory pharmacology and toxicology. At the moment, he is the author or co-author of 38 scientific papers, 36 of them in journal with IF (average IF 2.8). During his career he was awarded by several awards (e.g. in 2009 The price of the Minister of Education, Youth and Sports for remarkable results during doctoral study, 2011 The young scientist award of Danone institution for the best work in the field of nutrition, 2014 selected for the participation in the 64th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, 2014 poster award for extraordinary scientific achievements at annual meeting of The Society for Free Radical Research – Europe). Cardiovascular pharmacology in particular with emphasis on platelet-aggregation, cardiac function and arterial blood pressure; transition metals (iron, copper), polyphenolic compounds (flavonoids, coumarins, phenolic acids)
